Massachusetts State Curriculum Frameworks
The Massachusetts State Curriculum Frameworks are a set of standards developed for all content area subject instruction. MCAS is based on these standards. The Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks provide teachers, students, and families with clear and shared expectations for what all students should know and be able to do at the end of each year.

Safe and Drug-Free Schools
Students in grades K-12 receive instruction on substance use/abuse and violence prevention from a district-approved curriculum in their Health Education classes. This program is a research-based tobacco, alcohol, and drug abuse prevention program. To ensure a safe educational environment, the district clearly conveys the message that there is "zero tolerance" for alcohol, drugs, weapons, hate crimes, and violence within and on the grounds of the Abington Public Schools. The schools are aggressive with consequences, as well as education, intervention, and support.
