Abington Middle School’s Student Council will be hosting a holiday toy drive in honor of Cooper Richards. Coop’s Troop Foundation Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit charitable organization founded to honor the life of Cooper Matthew Richards, a beautiful and happy little boy from Weymouth, Massachusetts. Cooper gained his angel wings on January 19, 2017, at the age of 3. “Cooper Work” is doing small things that make a big impact in the lives of courageous children and their families. The goal of the foundation is to fund scientific research, education and charitable purposes that support social, economic and medical needs and development of children with life limiting diseases and special needs. We are asking that AMS students and families join us in doing “Cooper Work” this holiday season. Please donate new, unwrapped toys to AMS by December 5th. These unwrapped toys will be given to the foundation to distribute to children and families all over the south shore and beyond. Ms. Regan and Ms. MacNeil will deliver the toy donations to the Richards family on December 7th. Let’s work together and make this holiday season special for those in need! There will be donation drop boxes available in the AMS cafeteria starting Monday, November 18th.
