BLACK OUT CANCER GAMES: The Abington High School Student Athlete Advisory Council is sponsoring Blackout Cancer week at AHS this week in an effort to raise money for local families impacted by cancer and to help fund research to help make the goal of a cancer free world a reality.
On Friday night, January 11th, beginning at 5:30 pm the Girls’ and Boys’ Varsity basketball teams will both play at home. During the game there will be a number of fundraisers taking place including sales of commemorative t-shirts ($20), wrist bands ($2) the opportunity to purchase pledge cards ($5) in the name of someone impacted by cancer, a scratch ticket board raffle and a number of other raffle baskets.
The games will continue on Saturday night at Rockland Rink as the Hockey team takes on Whitman-Hanson at 7:10 pm.
Please come out and support this great community event and cause led by our student athletes.
