Woodsdale Distance Learning - Week 1
Good morning Woodsdale School Families:
Our distance learning courses have been updated for this week. Below you'll find links to grade-level calendars outlining the tasks for the week. The learning opportunities we've provided should approximate about half a school day. That being said, there may be initial frustration with either accessing this content, responding or submitting assignments in a new way, etc. We want to minimize student/family stress and frustration- do what you can and please reach out if you're in need of help.
Please know that we'll be adjusting as we go, using feedback and information from classroom teachers to make necessary changes in the weeks to come.
Be well, stay healthy-
Jonathan Hawes
Principal, Woodsdale School

Message from Ms. Monachino - Tuition Information
Additional information regarding tuition payments:
I fully understand the concern about the upcoming tuition withdrawal date. Please know that we have been in touch with FACTS Tuition Management and have confirmed that no tuition payments will be drawn while school is not in session.
Upon our return, we will work with families about payments during the previous draw.
Please take care and know that the entire team at AEEP is wishing everyone well.
Lora Monachino
The Latest Information Regarding the Philadelphia Trip
I am writing to you today with an update about payment refunds and travel vouchers. I spoke with Direct Travel today and am confirming the following:
·      Families will receive a refund of all money paid to Direct Travel with the exception of the $150.00 cancellation fee.
·      Each registered student will receive a $150.00 travel voucher. That voucher can only be used by that student or by a sibling and will expire after the 2020-2021 school year.
·      Money will be returned in the form it was paid. If you paid by credit or debit card, the refund will go to the same card. If you paid by check, a check will be sent to you.
·      All money earned towards the trip through wreath sales will be returned to the PTO. The PTO will then return that money directly to families.
·      It is estimated that refunds will be processed within two weeks. Given the current realities, this is only an estimate.
If you have any further questions about this or other matters, please feel free to reach out to me via email at matthewmaccurtain@abingtonps.org

AEEP Playground Use
We are happy to see so many families making use of the playground outside of school hours, and we encourage you to visit during the summer months, as well. Active play is so important for young children. Please just take care to closely supervise your child and be certain that the equipment is being used appropriately (e.g. going down slides feet first, not arms first; not climbing up either the inside or outside of the slide; not sitting or standing on the center of the teeter-totter). We want everyone to have fun AND play safely. Thank you!
Lora Monachino, Early Childhood and Out of District Coordinator
