Posted on 06/11/2021

Join us on the library side lawn will have our annual Summer Reading Kick-Off event on Wednesday, June 23rd from 1:00-3:30 PM! This year, the summer reading theme for children, teens, and adults is Tails and Tales.

Once again, we'll be logging books and reading time using the online program, READsquared. Library users of all ages can register to become one of our summer readers! Our goal is reach 1,000 hours of reading, and if that goal is met we'll sponsor a Koala and Wallaby from World Wildlife.

Come by and pick up your summer reading swag bag, schedule and other goodies! Activities of the day include a fun and funny presentation by Mr. Vinny the Bubbleguy and a sidewalk obstacle course. This is an event not to be missed! Tails and Tales is sponsored by the Abington Public Library, the Massachusetts Library System, the Boston Bruins, the Boston Pride, and the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners.
