Message from the Principal

April 11, 2021
Good afternoon Abington High School students and families,
Abington High School will welcome all of our students back to 5 days a week of in person learning, beginning Monday April 12, 2021. While this is an exciting and welcome transition, there are some changes to our routines and practices that we want to share with our students and families. I hope this information provides some clarity on what students can expect when they return to in person learning tomorrow.
Arrival & Dismissal Abington High School’s arrival start time (7:25am) and dismissal time (1:50pm) will remain the same. Parent drop off will be permitted by the gym entrance beyond the preschool on the side of the school. Parents will not be permitted to drop students off in the front bus loop effective April 5, 2021 while busses are present. Parents are encouraged to select drop off and pick up spots that are a short walk from the school to decrease their amount of time spent in school traffic. Student Parking Students that have registered to park at the school may continue to do so. Please be aware that students are not assigned spaces, and student drivers should plan to arrive at the school early to get a spot.
DUE TO THE INCREASED NUMBER OF DRIVERS AND DROP OFFS, WE ANTICIPATE INCREASED SCHOOL TRAFFIC STARTING ON APRIL 12,2021.
Bus Passes For those students currently taking buses to and from school, new bus routes and tags will be provided to families in the coming weeks. Parents should know we are limited in the number of new additions we can make. Those wishing to make new bus additions may be waitlisted based on the number of available seats. There will also be new bus routes with additional student riders, so please arrive at your stops early to wait for your bus. Students that are late to school that arrive by bus will not be penalized.
