Our students have been loving the work being done by Leslie O'Neill (find her on Facebook- @messypaintbrushes). Each classroom has been discussing the importance of spreading kindness and the meaning behind this project. Each child is painting a rock and will be assisted in writing a thoughtful quote / word that will inspire their classmates. Some examples of our kid's rocks are: After the week is over EACH child from every classroom will chose a rock to take home that a classmate of theirs has painted, encouraging the spread of kindness by taking home someone else’s inspirational quote. Kindness Rocks at Woodsdale began Friday November 3, 2017. our school is participating in the Kindness Rocks program, facilitated by Leslie O'Neill. During the course of the next few weeks, each classroom will discuss the importance of spreading kindness and the meaning behind this beautiful project. Each child will paint a rock and will be assisted in writing a thoughtful quote / word that will inspire their classmates. Some examples would include - You are loved, Share your smile, Peace, Be Kind, Hope, Spread Happiness. Etc…. Once all the rocks are painted and written on, we will place them in a viewing area for the entire grade to see and admire. A canvas will be donated to display with the children’s rock collection. After the week is over EACH child from every classroom will chose a rock to take home that a classmate of theirs has painted, encouraging the spread of kindness by taking home someone else’s inspirational quote.
