Rm. 1126 - Mrs. Ryan
This week in Mrs. Ryan's class, in math, we learned 3 digit times 2 digit numbers  and worked out word problems. In ELA we are writing a narrative selection about an event in our lives and hooking the reader. In Social Studies we are learning about European  explorers Mrs. Duquette  plays a song everyday so we remember the explorers. During science we have been learning about the Moon, Earth, and Sun and the Moon's phases.

Rm. 1112 - Mrs. Brisson
Hi I'm Jessica Blyth from Mrs. Brisson's class. This week in class we started with ELA talking about character traits. We also read the story Ta-Na-E-Ka which is about an 11 year old girl who has to go through her KAW ritual, which is the children have to survive in the woods for 5 days by themselves. She had the great idea of borrowing money to buy food from a restaurant down the stream. She also decided to sleep there. Next we did math. In math we simplified algebraic expressions (which was kind of fun). In Social Studies we are learning about ancient civilizations which I find fascinating. In science we dissected owl pellets  in groups of 3 or 4. A lot of groups built skeletons out of the bones we found like this one. This week in class was very fun between ELA and science. Thank you for reading this and have a great day!
