Abington Education Foundation
Thank you and congratulations to the Abington Education Foundation for raising $8,000 at the January 5, 2018 Trivia Night. The funds raised will benefit our students by helping to provide enriching and enjoyable programs and activities PreK-12.
Sidewalk Advisory
Please be aware that unfavorable sidewalk conditions can occur during and after a snowstorm. Even if sidewalks have been cleaned, citizens clearing their driveways and walkways can cause sidewalks to be blocked. Melting and re-freezing of snow can also create an icing situation. Parents/guardians should always be aware of the conditions of their child's walk to school or the bus stop and act accordingly.
I would also like to take this opportunity to remind parent/guardians to talk to their children, as we have at school, about the dangers of thin ice on ponds and streams in the coming months and to take the appropriate precautions.

Thank you for your attention to these matters as we all work together to keep the children safe.

Textile Recycling

Abington Public Schools continues its partnership with Bay State Tex-tiles to bring textile recycle bins into every public schoolyard in town. The white recycle bins are available 24/7 and proceeds from the collection of textiles benefit  the Parent Teacher Organization of that school. Bay State Tex-tiles offers a  $100 per ton rebate on textiles collected. Donate your unwanted textiles to support the schools.  We accept the good, the bad and the ugly! Donated items are accepted in any condition as long as they are clean and dry.
